The ingredients used in this slime tend to settle into layers after sitting for a few hours, with the perlite floating to the top and the sand settling at the bottom. Mixing the slime helps redistribute the ingredients and bring the mixture back together. For the best experience, avoid over-activating the slime to prevent sand and perlite from falling out.
